Today, I tried the “context clues” strategy to learn new words. I read a short article and looked for unfamiliar words, then tried to figure out their meanings by looking at the sentences around them.
This strategy worked well for me! I learned the words “disoriented” and “obsolete”. By reading how they were used in the text, I could understand their meanings without using a dictionary.
Using context clues helps me remember new words better because I see how they are used in real sentences. I plan to try this strategy more often to improve my vocabulary.
