In the Parts of Speech lesson, one sentence that stood out to me was:

“Nouns are words that name a person, place, thing, or idea.”
From this sentence, I realized how important nouns are as the foundation of language.

  • Nouns: person, place, thing, idea

  • Verb: are

  • Adjective: important

Another helpful sentence was:

“Adjectives describe or modify nouns by giving more information about them.”
This reminded me that adjectives add detail and make language more expressive.

  • Adjectives: more

  • Verb: describe, modify, giving

  • Noun: adjectives, nouns, information

Finally, I liked the example:

“Verbs show action or a state of being.”
It made me reflect that without verbs, sentences cannot express movement or condition.

  • Noun: verbs, action, state, being

  • Verb: show
