1. Noun

  • Name of a person, place, thing, or idea.
  • Example: teacher, Manila, car, happiness.
  • Example sentence: The cat is sleeping. 
2. Pronoun

  • Replaces a noun to avoid repetition.
  • Example: he, she, it, they, you, we, them.
  • Example sentence: Nilar is kind. She helps everyone.
3. Verb

  • Show action or a state of being.
  • Example: run, eat, is, was, seem.
  • Example sentence: They play basketball every weekend.
4. Adjective 

  • Describes or modifies a noun or pronoun.
  • Example: beautiful, tall, blue, three.
  • Example sentence: We stayed in a small hotel.
5. Adverb

  • Describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb. Often answer " how," "when," "where," or "to what extent."
  • Example: quickly, very, here, yesterday.
  • Example sentence: She song beautifully.
6. Preposition 

  • Shows the relationship between a noun/ pronoun and another word in the sentence.
  • Example: in, on, at, under, between, with.
  • Example sentence: The bag is under the table.
7. Conjunction 

  • Joins words, phrases, or clauses.
  • Example: and, but, or, because, although.
  • Example sentence: I like coffee and tea.
8. Interjection 

  • Expresses strong feeling or emotion.
  • Example: oh!, wow!, ouch!, hey!.
  • Example sentence: "Wow! That's amazing!"
