My Vocabulary Strategy

My Vocabulary Strategy

Today, I tried the strategy of using context clues to learn new vocabulary. When I was reading, I came across some words I didn’t know, so I looked at the sentences around them to guess the meaning before checking the dictionary.

This strategy worked well for me because it helped me understand the word naturally in the text. For example, I learned the word “versatile” and realized it meant “able to be used in many ways” from the way it was used. I also learned the word “significant,” which means “important.”

I think I will continue using this method because it helps me remember words better when I figure them out by myself first.
