While reviewing the Parts of Speech resources, I found a few sentences that helped me understand how words function differently depending on their use. Here are an example and the parts of speech I identified:
Sentence: “Wow, that was an amazing journey.”
Wow – Interjection
that – Pronoun (referring to something previously mentioned)
was – Verb (linking verb)
an – Article
amazing – Adjective (describing journey)
jourey – Noun
