Context Clue: A word or phrase in the same sentence or a nearby sentence that can help the reader understand the meaning of an unfamiliar word.
Example: Sue's boss was a callous man. He did not react to her tears and apologies.
A callous man does not react to tears and apologies.
Callous means "hard-hearted" or "insensitive to emotion".
This example shows me more clearly understanding context clues. It is very useful to improve my vocabulary.
