Sentence have three types, the first one is simple sentence and at least have one independent clause and only required punctuation at the end( comma, full stop, question marks at end etc.
second one is the compound sentence have one or more independent clauses, for example i am working now, but we will eat later, the 3rd one is complex sentence have more combined the independent clauses and subordinate clauses.
