Hello again, and thank you for giving me an opportunity to give you some information, which is what I got in module three.

  • The sentence has two types in clause:
  1. Independent (contain a subject + verb / stands on its own)
  2. Dependent (contain a subject + verb / cannot stand on its own / begins with a dependent marker)
  • Common dependent marks:

  1. Time condition (after, before, when, while, during, as, until, whenever...etc.)
  2. Causal condition (because, so that, since... etc.)
  3. Contrary condition (though, although, even though, except that...etc.)
  4. Potential condition (If, even if, unless, provided that...etc.
  • To have a proper sentence we need to:
  1. Punctuations.
  2. Include a subject+ verb.
  3. Be careful to write a complete thought.
