vocabulary building

Today, I tried using context clues to learn new words. While reading, I paid attention to words I didn’t know and tried to figure out their meaning from the sentences around them. For example, I came across the word “meticulous” and guessed it meant paying close attention to details—and I was right!

I think this strategy worked really well for me because it helps me understand words without constantly stopping to look them up. Some new words I learned today were meticulous, inadvertent, and versatile. I’m excited to keep using this strategy—it feels like learning vocabulary in a way that actually sticks.
