Vocabulary Strategy I Tried: Using Context Clues
Today, I decided to use context clues as my vocabulary strategy. Whenever I came across a new word while reading an online article, I tried to guess its meaning based on the surrounding sentences before checking the dictionary.
Did it work?
Yes, it really helped! I realized that I can often figure out the meaning of a word just by looking at how it’s used in a sentence. After checking the dictionary, my guesses were mostly correct, which made me more confident in understanding new words while reading.
New Words I Learned :
Resilient – able to recover quickly from difficulties.
Meticulous – showing great attention to detail.
Ambiguous – having more than one possible meaning.
