Discussion Post: Parts of Speech
From the Parts of Speech resources, I liked these sentences:
1️⃣ “An adjective describes or modifies a noun.”
→ adjective – noun, describes – verb, noun – noun.
I learned that adjectives can come before or after nouns.
2️⃣ “A preposition shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words.”
→ preposition – noun, shows – verb, between – preposition.
It helped me understand how prepositions show time, place, or direction.
3️⃣ “Conjunctions connect words, phrases, or clauses.”
→ conjunctions – noun, connect – verb.
A good reminder that and, but, and or link ideas together.
