I practiced identifying sentence patterns using the short text below:

Text:

Robert lives in an apartment.

He loves his job.

His wife teaches college courses.

They work in the mornings.

Here is my SVOMPT table (Subject – Verb – Object – Manner – Place – Time)

Sentence Subject (S) Verb (V) Object (O) Manner (M) Place (P) Time (T)
Robert lives in an apartment. Robert lives in an apartment
He loves his job. He loves his job
His wife teaches college courses. His wife teaches college courses
They work in the mornings. They work in the mornings

This activity helped me see how most English sentences follow the S–V–O or S–V–P–T patterns. It also showed how word order gives meaning and makes sentences clear and easy to understand.
