Today, I tried the word mapping strategy to build my vocabulary. I chose a few new words I recently came across—collaborate, versatile, and implement. For each word, I wrote the definition, part of speech, a synonym, an antonym, and an example sentence.
This strategy worked well for me because it helped me see how the words are connected to others I already know. Writing example sentences also made it easier to remember how to use them in context.
New words I learned:
-
Collaborate (verb): to work together
-
Versatile (adjective): able to do many different things well
-
Implement (verb): to put into action
I plan to keep using this strategy because it helps me understand and remember new words instead of just memorizing them.
