Strategy I Tried: Using new words in sentences and conversation (Use It or Lose It).
What I Did: I picked three new words I had learned recently—lethargic, stoic, and dilapidated—and wrote a few sentences using them. I also tried to use one of the words in a conversation with a friend.
Did It Work? Yes! Writing and saying the words in context helped me remember their meanings much better than just reading them in a list.
New Words I Learned:
Lethargic – lacking energy
Stoic – not showing emotion or pain
Dilapidated – in very poor condition
Reflection: I think this strategy works well because it forces me to actively use the words, which makes them stick in my memory longer.
