Today, I tried the context clues strategy to build my vocabulary. While reading a short article, I looked at the surrounding words and sentences to understand the meaning of unfamiliar words instead of using a dictionary right away.
This strategy worked well for me because it helped me understand the meaning faster and remember the words better. Some new words I learned were “reliable,” “efficient,” and “deadline.” By seeing how these words were used in sentences, I could understand how to use them correctly in my own writing.
I like this strategy because it makes reading more active and helps improve both vocabulary and comprehension at the same time.
