As I read through the Parts of Speech materials, I picked up a few things of interest.
Noun : A naming word (person, place, thing, or idea).
Pronoun : A word used instead of a noun.
Verb : A word that shows action or state of being.
Adjective : A word that describes a noun.
Adverb : A word that describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
Preposition : A word that shows the relationship between a noun and another word.
Conjunction :A word that joins words or sentences.
Interjection : A word that shows sudden feeling.
