Sentence types
1. Simple sentence: Contains one independent clause (a complete thought).
Example: He runs fast.
2. Compound sentence: Has two or more independent clauses joined by a coordinating conjunctions.
Example: She likes tea, but he prefers coffee.
3. Complex sentence: Contains one independent clause and at least one dependent (subordinate) clause.
Example: I stayed home because it was raining.
4. Compound Complex-sentence: Has at least two independent clauses and one more dependent clauses.
Example: She cooked dinner because she was hungry, and he washed the dishes.
