Verb

A verb is a word that shows an action or a state of being. It tells what the subject does or is.

Examples:
• I eat rice.
• She reads a book.
• They are happy.

Types of Verbs:
1. Action Verbs – show an action
• run, eat, write
2. Linking Verbs – connect the subject to its state
• am, is, are
3. Helping Verbs – help the main verb
• is, was, have, will

Conclusion:
A verb is very important in a sentence. A sentence is not complete without a verb.

What I Learned / What I Understood

I learned that a verb shows what someone does or is.
I also understood that every sentence needs a verb to make sense.
