- Nouns: name of person, animal and things e.g. Cat
- Pronouns: Replaces a noun e.g. He
- Verbs: An action word e.g. eat
- Adverbs: modifies a verb, adjective or another adverb e.g. quickly
- Adjective: modifies a noun or a pronoun e.g Tall
- Preposition: shows the relation between sentence e.g. on
- Conjunction: connects two sentences together e.g and
- Interjection: expresses feelings or emotions e.g Ouch!!
