Today I decided to try the strategy of keeping a journal of new words to improve my vocabulary. During the day, I read an article in English and wrote down the words I didn’t know in my notebook. Then, I looked up their meanings and wrote a sentence with each one to practice using them.
For example, I learned the words "cantankerous" and "ill-natured". I wrote sentences like: "Today I had a really cantankerous customer." and "My brother sometimes can be a little ill-natured."
This strategy was useful for me because it helped me remember the words better by writing them down and using them in context. Also, having a notebook allows me to review the words later.
