Today I decided to try the context clues strategy to build my vocabulary. While reading a short text, I paid close attention to the sentences before and after unfamiliar words to understand their meaning. This strategy worked well for me because it helped me guess the meaning without using a dictionary right away.

I learned new words such as “predict,” “organize,” and “sequence.” By seeing how these words were used in the text, I was able to understand their meaning and remember them more easily. Although I later checked a dictionary to confirm my understanding, using context clues first made me feel more confident while reading.

Overall, this strategy was helpful because it improved my comprehension and helped me learn new words in a natural way. I will continue using context clues when I read in English.

Similarly, I used the strategy of clues by context, where I read everything and then, based on my understanding, I assigned meaning to what I had learned. This helped me a lot to better understand the texts.
