My name is Okorie Helen Ebere, and I am a young woman in my early twenties, gradually finding my place in the world. I come from a family of seven children, and I am the third child. Growing up in a large family has played a significant role in shaping my personality, values, and outlook on life. It has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of cooperation and understanding. Being neither the eldest nor the youngest has allowed me to learn from those older than me while also guiding those who come after me.
As a person, I consider myself simple and reflective. I may not have many defined hobbies, but I deeply enjoy activities that allow me to relax and escape into other worlds. One of my favorite pastimes is watching movies, as they help me unwind and explore different stories, cultures, and perspectives. Movies entertain me, but they also inspire me by showing the struggles and triumphs of people from various walks of life.
In addition to watching movies, I have a strong love for reading novels, especially those centered on rebirth, fantasy, and romance. These genres fascinate me because they explore themes of second chances, imagination, love, and personal growth. Through novels, I am able to experience emotions and adventures beyond my everyday life. Reading helps me develop creativity and empathy, and it allows me to see life from different viewpoints. Even though I do not actively pursue many hobbies, reading remains an important part of who I am.
Currently, I am an undergraduate student studying Microbiology. Choosing this course was a significant decision for me because I am interested in understanding life at its smallest and most complex levels. Microbiology has opened my eyes to how microorganisms affect human health, the environment, and the world around us. Although the course is challenging, it has helped me become more disciplined, curious, and determined. Each lecture and practical session strengthens my desire to succeed academically and professionally.
Looking ahead, my greatest aspiration is to become a successful microbiologist after I graduate. I hope to use my education and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to society, whether through research, healthcare, or other scientific fields. I believe that success comes from dedication, patience, and a willingness to keep learning, and I am prepared to put in the effort required to achieve my goals.
