In this activity, I analyzed the short text provided to identify the sentence patterns using the SVOMPT structure (Subject, Verb, Object, Manner, Place, Time). In the sentence “Robert lives in an apartment,” Robert is the subject, lives is the verb, and in an apartment functions as the place. In “He loves his job,” He is the subject, loves is the verb, and his job is the object. The sentence “His wife teaches college courses” follows the same pattern, with His wife as the subject, teaches as the verb, and college courses as the object. Finally, in “They work in the mornings,” They is the subject, work is the verb, and in the mornings indicates time. Overall, this exercise shows how Standard English sentences usually follow a clear subject-verb order, with objects, place, or time added when needed to complete the meaning.
