I want to share some other unusual examples of the parts of speech.


Noun: APride, Mixology, Loyalty


Pronoun: Nowhere, Elsewhere, Neither


Adjective: Cantankerous, Lackadaisical, Spiteful


Verb: Dangle, Abide, Efface


Adverb: Seldom, Barely, Accurately


Preposition: Opposite, Within, Against


Conjugation: Beseech, Weave, Strive


Article: 

  • An MBA (pronounced "em-bee-ay").
  • An hour (o an hour and a half). 
  • A university (o a unit, a union)


Interjection: 

  • Golly: (Good heavens/Goodness) An old-fashioned or very mild way of expressing surprise.
  • Zowie: (Whack!) Expresses great surprise or astonishment, commonly used to denote something shocking.
  • Pshaw: (Bah/What nonsense!) Expresses disdain, impatience, or disbelief.
