My Practice with SVOMPT Sentence Patterns

Hi everyone,

I’m practicing identifying the SVOMPT (Subject-Verb-Object-Manner-Place-Time) pattern using the text provided in our lesson. Here is my breakdown:

  • Robert (S) lives (V) in an apartment (P).

  • He (S) loves (V) his job (O).

  • His wife (S) teaches (V) college courses (O).

  • They (S) work (V) in the mornings (T).

I found it interesting that not every sentence needs all six parts of the SVOMPT pattern to be complete. For example, "They work in the mornings" doesn't have an Object or Place, but it still follows the correct English word order.

I’m looking forward to seeing your examples!
