After reviewing the Parts of Speech resources, a few sentences stood out to me because they clarified how different words function in context.
One sentence I found especially helpful was:
“An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.”
I knew that adverbs modified verbs, but I didn’t realize they could also modify adjectives and other adverbs. That helped me better understand sentence structure.
Another important sentence was:
“A preposition shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and another word in the sentence.”
