I learned a lot from the parts of speech lesson! Here are some sentences I found interesting, along with examples of different parts of speech:

  1. Sentence: The pandas at the zoo rolled on the grass while visitors took pictures.

    • Nouns: pandas, zoo, grass, visitors, pictures

    • Pronouns: — (none in this sentence)

    • Adverbs: — (none in this sentence)

    • Conjunction: while

    • Interjection: — (none in this sentence)

  2. Sentence: Ben knew he was not going to be late, yet he ran quickly to try to catch the bus.

    • Nouns: Ben, bus

    • Pronouns: he

    • Adverbs: quickly, not

    • Conjunction: yet

    • Interjection: — (none in this sentence)

  3. Sentence: Oh, the fireworks display began and, oh, the crowd was pleased.

    • Nouns: fireworks, display, crowd

    • Pronouns: — (none in this sentence)

    • Adverbs: — (none in this sentence)

    • Conjunction: and

    • Interjections: Oh, oh

I think seeing how different parts of speech work together really helps me understand how sentences are built.
