I am appreciative, I have gained knowledge on   Parts of speech, that are the basic categories of words in the English language. They help us understand how words function in a sentence. The eight main parts of speech are nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.

A noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea. For example: teacher, school, book.

A verb is an action word that shows what someone or something does. For example: run, read, write.

An adjective describes a noun. For example: big house or happy child.

An adverb describes a verb or adjective. For example: She runs quickly.

A pronoun replaces a noun. For example: he, she, they.

A preposition shows the relationship between words in a sentence. For example: in, on, under.

A conjunction connects words or sentences. For example: and, but, because.

An interjection expresses strong feelings. For example: Wow! Oh!
