Building vocabulary using strategies

Today I tried the strategy of using new words in sentences to build my vocabulary. Whenever I came across a word I didn’t know, I wrote it down, looked up its meaning, and then made my own sentence with it.

For example, I learned the word “stoic”, which means not showing emotion or pain. My sentence was: “Even though the roller coaster was scary, she remained stoic and didn’t scream.”

I also learned “dilapidated”, meaning fallen into ruins, and used it like this: “The old playground was dilapidated and unsafe for children.”

This strategy worked really well because making my own sentences helped me remember the words and understand how to use them. I plan to continue using this method every day!

I also have learned new techniques for vocabulary building. But I am also aware of some techniques before and using it like building my own vocabulary by writing the new words on register alphabetically with their meanings in my national language and also with their sentences to remember them easily.
This is really worth giving.
