I chose Strategy #3: Use It or Lose It. Instead of just reading a new word, I tried to use it in three different ways: I wrote it down, said it aloud, and tried to use it in a conversation. It really helped me feel more confident. Usually, I forget words after ten minutes, but by saying them out loud, they "stuck" in my memory better. New words I learned:
Voracious: I used it to describe how I read books now.
Lexicon: I told a friend I am starting my own personal lexicon.
Diversify: I'm trying to diversify my hobbies to learn more jargon.
I recommend this strategy to anyone who has a hard time remembering what they study!
