1. Noun

A word that names a person, place, thing, or idea.

Pakistan (place) or Sofa (thing).

2. Pronoun

A word used in place of a noun to avoid repetition.

She (instead of saying "Ayesha" over and over).

3. Verb

A word that expresses an action or a state of being.

Run (action) or Is (state of being).

4. Adjective

A word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun.

I don’t like Spicy food.

5. Adverb

A word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. They often end in "-ly.

Ali runs very Quickly

6. Preposition

A word placed before a noun or pronoun to show its relationship to another word in the sentence

The toy is under the bed.

7. Conjunction

A word used to connect words, phrases, or clauses.

 I wanted to go, but it was raining.

8. Interjection

A word or phrase used to express strong emotion or surprise. These are often followed by an exclamation point.
