family story that I might share in the forum:
Last summer, my family and I went on a road trip to the mountains. The weather was perfect, and we planned to go hiking. As we drove up the winding roads, my little brother started singing loudly, making everyone laugh. When we finally arrived at the trail, we realized we forgot our water bottles at home! We had to turn back and find a store to buy more water before we could start our hike.
Tense Consistency Check:
The entire story is in past tense (e.g., "went," "was," "planned," "drove," "started," "arrived," "realized," "forgot," "had").
There are no unnecessary shifts between past and present tense.
