Last summer, my family went on a trip to the mountains. It was a beautiful morning, and we decided to go for a hike to the top of a hill that overlooks the valley. My dad, who loves taking photos, brought his camera to capture the stunning views. As we were walking up the trail, my little sister, who had just turned five, suddenly tripped and fell. She cried for a few seconds, but my dad quickly ran to her and helped her up. After a little while, she was laughing again, and we continued on our way. At the top, we all sat down to enjoy a picnic, and the view was so breathtaking that we forgot about everything else for a while.
Notice that all my verbs are in the past tense because I am telling a story about something that happened in the past. The tenses remain consistent throughout, and I used as many details as I could to make the story interesting.
I look forward to hearing your stories and providing feedback on your verb tenses!
