I analyzed the sentences using the SVOMPT pattern (Subject, Verb, Object, Manner, Place, Time). In the sentence “Robert lives in an apartment,” the subject is Robert, the verb is lives, and the place is in an apartment. In “He loves his job,” the subject is He, the verb is loves, and the object is his job. In the sentence “His wife teaches college courses,” the subject is His wife, the verb is teaches, and the object is college courses. Lastly, in “They work in the mornings,” the subject is They, the verb is work, and the time is in the mornings.

From this activity, I learned that not all sentences contain all elements of SVOMPT. Some sentences are already complete with just a subject and a verb, while others include additional information such as place or time to make the sentence more detailed and clear.
