Today I tried using the strategy of learning vocabulary through context. I read a short paragraph in English and tried to guess the meaning of unfamiliar words based on the sentences around them before checking the dictionary. This strategy worked quite well for me because it helped me understand the words more naturally and not just memorize their meanings.
For example, I learned new words like “deadline,” “assignment,” and “improve.” At first, I was not completely sure about their meanings, but after reading the full sentences, I could guess what they meant. After that, I checked the dictionary to make sure my understanding was correct.
I think this strategy is helpful because it trains me to think in English and understand words in real situations. I will try to use this method more often when reading English texts.
