my strategy to improve my vocabulary

Today, I decided to try a vocabulary strategy by learning new words from things I enjoy, especially from watching shows and reading short texts. Instead of just watching for entertainment, I paid more attention to unfamiliar words and wrote them down in my notes.

After that, I tried to understand the meaning from the context first before checking the dictionary. This helped me remember the words better because I could relate them to the situation in the scene.

I found that this strategy works quite well for me because it feels more natural and not boring. I don’t feel like I am forcing myself to study, but I am still learning at the same time.

Some new words I learned today are “overthink,” “calm,” and “express.” I also learned how to use them in simple sentences, so it is easier for me to remember.

Overall, I think this strategy is effective for me, and I want to keep using it regularly so I can improve my vocabulary and become more confident in English.
