Parts of speech discussion

For this discussion, I learned that different parts of speech have specific functions in a sentence. For example, an adverb modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb, and a conjunction connects words or groups of words. I also learned that an interjection expresses strong emotion.
Examples of parts of speech:
  • Noun: dog, school, teacher

  • Verb: run, eat, study

  • Adjective: happy, big, interesting
  • Adverb: quickly, very, really
  • Conjunction: and, but, because
  • Interjection: wow, oh, ouch

These examples help me understand how each part of speech works in a sentence.
