We have eight parts of speech, and they:
1. Noun - names people, things, places and ideas.
2. Pronouns - replaces the noun in a sentence. For example, she is a girl.
3. Adjectives - used to qualify or modify a noun or pronoun. She is beautiful or Laura is beautiful.
4. Prepositions - shows relationship
5. Conjunction - connects words or sentences together.
6. Interjection - used to express feeling
7. Verb - shows an action
8. Adverb - slightly similar to adjectives, modified a verb, an adjective or another adverb
