Reading Strategies and Vocabulary Development
Effective reading strategies play a crucial role in improving both comprehension and vocabulary. One of the best ways to strengthen vocabulary is by reading actively, not passively. Instead of translating every word, I try to guess meanings from context, which helps me think in English. I also keep a vocabulary notebook where I write new words, their meanings, and example sentences. Reviewing these words regularly makes them easier to remember and use in real situations. In my opinion, combining active reading with consistent review is the most powerful strategy for building a strong vocabulary.
