I would choose to be fluent in all languages. While communicating with animals sounds intriguing, the ability to speak every human language would allow me to connect with people across cultures, breaking down barriers and fostering global understanding. Research shows that multilingualism enhances cognitive abilities, improves problem-solving skills, and opens doors to countless opportunities. Additionally, it could significantly reduce misunderstandings between different communities and promote peace. With the growing interconnectedness of the world, being able to communicate in any language would be a powerful tool for diplomacy, education, and personal relationships.

I would rather be able to communicate with animals. This unique ability could revolutionise our understanding of animal behavior and even their ecosystems. Research shows that many animals have complex emotions; for instance, elephants' grief for their dead family members and the dolphin show advanced social skills. Communicating with them could greatly enhance conservation efforts and would lead to better treatment in captivity. Furthermore, people would become more aware of the destruction of animals’ natural habitats, encouraging them to improve the ecosystem by volunteering in conversation programs or raise further awareness. In conclusion, choosing to communicate with animals does not only have a huge impact on the understanding of animal phycology, but it also brings to public attention about environmental crises.

If I had the chance to choose whether to be proficient in every language or have the power to communicate with animals, I would choose to be fluent in all languages. This is due to how it allows me to travel worldwide without the worry of not understanding their dialects. Furthermore, owing to the absence of language barriers, having a wider social circle can be achieved easily. This means having mates all across the globe. In addition, knowing all languages means having broader job opportunities around the world. For instance, the multilingual skill can be useful in translating information in marketing websites, saving time and money for companies in external translation devices. In summary, although the power to talk with animals sounds nice, I would love to be able to speak every dialect in the world because of the lack of culture shocks, better job opportunities, and a wider friend-zone, which all outweighs the advantages of having the talent to speak with animals.
