I’ve come to understand that there are eight main parts of speech in English: nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. I also learned that although articles aren’t officially part of the eight, they are still very important in forming complete and meaningful sentences.
Each part of speech has a specific role in a sentence, and they all work together to help us express ourselves clearly. Pronouns, for instance, help us avoid repeating nouns and make our sentences sound better.
