Today, I decided to try the strategy of using context clues to build my vocabulary. Whenever I came across a word I didn’t know while reading an article online, I tried to figure out its meaning based on the surrounding sentences before looking it up.
One of the new words I learned was "meticulous." From the sentence, "She was meticulous about organizing her desk, placing every item exactly where it belonged," I guessed it meant something like “very careful or detailed”—and I was right!
Another word I picked up was "inevitable." The context made it clear it referred to something that was bound to happen, and that helped me remember it.
