My son starts school late, so he takes his time getting dressed. He always takes a taxi.

In the second part of the first sentence, the possessive pronoun "his" agrees with its antecedent "he."

At the same time, in the first and second sentences, the personal pronoun "he" is used rather than "My son" to avoid repetition.
