I wake up before the sun comes up, usually around 5:30 a.m. I'm always tired, but I force myself out of bed. After a quick shower and a rushed breakfast, I get in the car by 6:15. The drive is long and mostly boring. The traffic can be terrible, especially near the city.
I take the same highway every day. It’s the same trees, the same signs, the same slow-moving cars. Sometimes I listen to the news, but even that gets old. I just stare ahead and try not to think about how much time I'm losing sitting in traffic.
By the time I get to work at 7:15, I'm already exhausted. And then the real day begins.
