Building my vocabulary has always been one of my goals, so even before this lesson, I was already trying my best to expand my use of words. As a new learner in this lesson, I started reading new materials and focused on learning one word per day. This is different from what I used to do, as I previously tried to learn as many words as possible in a single day. That approach wasn’t effective for me because it often led to information overload, which made it harder to retain the words and connect them with their meanings.
Today, I learned the word “sanguine.” It means being optimistic or positive in a bad or difficult situation.
