I found the distinction between adjectives and adverbs to be a really important part of the lesson. It's something I've mixed up before. The sentence "The cat is extremely fluffy" was a great way to show how they work together.
In this example, fluffy is the adjective. It describes the noun "cat."
Extremely is the adverb. It modifies the adjective "fluffy," telling us to what extent the cat is fluffy.
Another key takeaway for me was the function of a conjunction. The sentence "I wanted to go, but it was raining" clearly showed how the conjunction "but" connects two opposing ideas.
These examples helped me understand the roles of different parts of speech in a much more concrete way.
