Today, I'll talk about two parts of speech that sometimes are confusing for me: conjuctions and prepositions.
Conjuctions:
We studied two types of conjuctions: coordinating and subordinating.
Two examples of coordinating conjuctions are for and yet, which are used in the next two sentences:
- I travel for pleasure.
- It was sunny, yet it was a cold day.
- He is very talkative, while she is quiet.
- The lollipop was delicious, even though I don't like bananas.
We also studied some prepositions of time (like on), place (like at) and movement (like through). Here are some examples of their use:
- I'll go to the library on Monday morning.
- Let's meet at the park!
- We passed through the tunnel.
