For this discussion, I'll analyze a sample sentence from Unit 1 of the ESL001 course:

Sentence: "She has been studying English for two years."

Tense: Present

Aspect: Perfect Continuous

Mood: Indicative

Explanation: The sentence describes an ongoing action that started in the past and continues into the present. The present tense shows the current relevance of the action. The perfect continuous aspect is formed with "has been" + the verb in the "-ing" form ("studying") and indicates an action that began in the past and is still continuing. The indicative mood is used to make a straightforward statement or fact.

I look forward to seeing what sentences and verb forms my classmates have chosen!
