Global warming is the gradual increase in the Earth’s average temperature due to the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, come mainly from human activities like burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests, using vehicles, and running factories. When these gases trap heat from the sun, the planet becomes warmer than normal. This rise in temperature affects weather patterns and causes serious environmental problems. Glaciers and polar ice are melting, which leads to rising sea levels and flooding in coastal areas. Many regions are experiencing extreme weather events like heat waves, droughts, heavy rainfall, and stronger storms. Global warming also harms plants and animals by changing their natural habitats, and some species may become extinct. It can also affect human health by increasing heat-related illnesses and spreading diseases. To reduce global warming, we must take action by using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, saving electricity, planting more trees, and reducing pollution. Using public transport, recycling, and conserving water can also help. If people, governments, and industries work together, we can slow down global warming and protect the Earth for future generations.
