Last Monday, I met up with a new friend from my graphic design class in 2023. We hadn't had a chance to get to know each other but after connecting on Facebook Messenger, we discovered a great connection. We decided to meet in person, and so, we visited a pagoda together. We donated food to the fish and enjoyed strolling around the peaceful grounds.
Afterwards, we headed to a charming cafe with beautiful lighting and ambiance. We had a delightful conversation, filled with friendly banter. As evening approached, we made our way to the bus stop. This is where the day took an unexpected turn.
I mistakenly boarded the wrong bus for my hometown. I wasn't realized my mistake until about an hour . I politely asked a fellow passenger, "Excuse me, but where is this bus headed?" She kindly informed me that I was going in the opposite direction and advised me to take a different bus to the station to catch the correct one back home. I was incredibly grateful for her help.
Unfortunately, due to traffic congestion, I waited another a half of an hour for the bus. My worried family called during this time. The entire ordeal ended up costing me about two and a half hours. By the time I was finally on the right bus, my stomach was grumbling, and I couldn't help but feel a bit scared being alone so late at night.
Despite the messy and tiring end, it was a beautiful date overall. The unexpected turn of events certainly added a layer of adventure to the day!
